Exciting plans for a brand new nursery at Goldsmith Primary Academy in Walsall have moved a step closer after planning permission was granted by Walsall Council.
The nursery will provide outstanding learning and facilities and enables the school to provide space for an additional 32 children aged two to four - supporting the need for additional school places required in the local area over the next three years.
Designed by , the nursery's design accommodates space for both whole-class and small group activities, a new playground and an inclusive environment for children with special educational needs.
The nursery will be located to the East of the school and provide a modern and bright learning environment for children using both indoor and outdoor space.
Building work is due to start in spring 2021 with the planned opening of the nursery in autumn 2021.
Commenting on the news, Leanne Bridgwood, Headteacher at Goldsmith Primary Academy said:
