Sixth Form Students Celebrate Brilliant A Level and BTEC Results

Students across our sixth forms are celebrating after receiving brilliant A Level and BTEC results and progressing to leading universities and apprenticeships.

The results highlight the incredible work of staff and students and continued outstanding sixth form performance across our family of schools.

The results for each of our sixth forms were as follows.

Cheslyn Hay Academy

32% of all grades were A*/A and 62% graded A*-B. 82% of all grades were A*-C, and the pass rate was 99%. This high performance is also reflected in vocational results, with the average grade being Distinction Star.

Alongside the excellent overall results, there were numerous standout individual achievements:

  • James Dorricott will be studying medical physiology and therapeutics at the University of Nottingham, having achieved three A*鈥檚 in biology, chemistry and physics.
  • Cain Raby achieved an A* and two As.
  • Sophie Burns achieved an A*, A and Distinction*.
  • Thomas Steptoe achieved 3 As.
  • Brogan Pugh achieved Double Distinction* and A.
  • Triple Distinction* in Art - Lily Brookes-Payne, Carmen Connolly, Daisy Crowe, Emily Hall, Katherine Roberts and Harriet Tolley.
  • Triple Distinction* in Sport - Lily Simkin and Benjamin Simpson

Great Wyrley Academy

30% of grades were at A*/A, 60% at A*- B and 74% at A*- C. Value added for vocational subjects was +0.8.

Exceptional individual achievements include:

  • Ted Peacock, who got A* A A and is going to study Graphic Design at Loughborough University
  • Isabel Beastall, who got Distinction* A A A and is progressing to Coventry to study Paediatric Nursing
  • Riley Benton, who got A B B and is going to study Mathematics at Keele University
  • Phoebe Beech, who got Distinction* B B and is progressing to University of Birmingham to study Business Management

Windsor High School and Sixth Form

Over 150 A* and A grades were achieved by students, with 60 students gaining at least one A* or A grade. In addition, 13 students achieved all A* or A grades overall.

62% of A Level grades were A*-B and 79% A*-C, and the average vocational grade was 鈥楧istinction鈥.

Among the exceptional overall results, standout individual achievements include:

  • Yousef Dhafer, who joined Windsor in Year 9 without speaking any English, has achieved three A* and one A in his A levels. Yousef said, 鈥淣ever give up and keep working hard for what you want.鈥 Yousef is now going on to study Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the University of Birmingham.
  • Taiya Mitchell achieved 3 A* in her A levels and will be going to study Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. Taiya said, 鈥淚鈥檝e worked at always doing better and getting more so that I can be the best I can.鈥
