WAT Schools Attend the Sustainability Education Summit

18th November 2022

On Thursday 17 November schools from across the WAT Family joined forces to attend the Sustainability Education Summit held by and .

The event's headline was 'Regenerating Schools - How my school helps towards a sustainable and just future for all?' and was held at the Manor Hotel, Meriden.

Students and staff from across the Trust and the wider education family worked collaboratively throughout the day on a series of presentations and workshops.

In the morning session school staff and students followed separate programmes before coming together in the afternoon to share perspectives and start planning action.

Our students had a fabulous day,  and we cannot wait to see each of our schools' Sustainability Action Plans put into practice.

无码专区's Director of Operations, Chris Berry,  who is leading on our Sustainability Big Move commented:

It was brilliant to see our young people collaborating with staff and students from many other schools.

To hear them speak with passion about their views and about how we can help to make change happen was amazing.  I have to give a special mention to Logan from Goldsmith Primary Academy, who stood up at the end of the conference and presented a poem he had written yesterday during the event about climate change to the whole audience.

We would like to thank the summit organising partners Edge Foundation and Schools of Tomorrow for putting on such a wonderful, powerful and meaningful event.

We had a brilliant day as seen in some of the images below.
